Dr. Eric Allard, Lab Director

Dr. Allard earned his BA in psychology from the University of Sioux Falls (SD) and his PhD in Social and Developmental Psychology from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, in 2010. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston College in 2014, Dr. Allard joined the faculty of the psychology department at CSU. As a member of the Adult Development and Aging doctoral program, as well as the Experimental Research and Clinical masters programs. Dr. Allard mentors undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. students as they conduct research in the ACE Lab.  Contact Dr. Allard at e.s.allard@csuohio.edu.

Abigail Behrend,  1st year Doctoral Student, Adult Development and Aging Program

Abbey is a 1st year doctoral student in the Adult Development and Aging program. Abbey received her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University in 2022, with a major in Psychology. Abbey's MA thesis is investigating how adult attachment experiences differentially impact emotion regulation efficacy for young and older adults. Ryan Muskin, 1st year Doctoral Student, Adult Development and Aging Program

Ryan is a 1st year doctoral student in the Adult Development and Aging program. Ryan is returning to the ACE Lab after a one-year absence working as a research associate with University Hospitals in Cleveland. Ryan first joined the lab in Fall 2019 as part of the Experimental Research/Psychological Science MA program, graduating in 2021. Ryan's work primarily focuses on examining distinctions between young and older adults on discrete affective reactivity profiles based on stimulus relevance and motivation. Yosra Abualula, 4th year MA Student, Psychological Science Program

yYosra is a 4th year masters student in the Psychological Science program. Yosra received her undergraduate degree from CSU in December 2018, with a major in Psychology. Yosra's MA thesis examines the role of culture (namely differences between Western American and Muslim societies) on emotion perception ability. Jeffrey Conaway

Jeffrey Conaway, 1st year MA Student, Psychological Science Program

Jeff is a 1st year masters student in the Psycyhological Science Program. Jeff received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Marshall University in 2020. Meghan Paulo, 1st year MA Student, Clinical Psychology Program

Meghan is a 1st year masters student in the Clnical Program. Meghan received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Washington State mUniversity in 2020. Cheyene Horner

Brian Brooks, Undergraduate Honors and Psychological Science 4+1 Program

Brian is a senior undergraduate student completing his BA in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology at CSU. He is also concurrently enrolled in the Psychological Science 4+1 BA/MA program. Brian's research interests are broadly focused on criminal justice reform and recidivism, particularly as they pertain to systemic bias impacting African Americans.
