Opportunities for Psychology Students

Check out all current Psychology Events Here!

From time to time, the Department of Psychology will post opportunities to this page and update this information.

As always, please remember that we do not explicitly endorse the opportunities that we pass along and we recommend that you do your own research. Our faculty would be happy to help students and alumni with that process.

If you would like to have an opportunity posted here, please email details to Mads Meridian at m.meridian@csuohio.edu

For information on external career services and professional organizations, please see this page.

The majority of graduates enter fields where they assume research-related roles (e.g., program evaluation, survey researcher, data analyst, quality control specialist, etc.) across a variety of sectors in business/industry, education, government, and non-profit settings.  In addition, there are multiple specialties that students can pursue including a Six Sigma black belt certification, UX Design, a Behavior Specialist Certificate which provides advanced coursework in Behavioral Analysis for those interested in working with individuals with developmental impairments (e.g., autism).  Others have conducted collaborative research at Shippensburg resulting in conference presentations, journal articles, and have been accepted into competitive doctoral programs. Remote assistantships are available on a competitive basis, although contingent on university funding. Students interested can visit this link for detailed information.
