Physics Student Theresa Lincheck has been named COSHP Valedictorian (Spring 2021)

TheresaLincheck.jpgFresh physics department alumna Theresa Lincheck (BS Physics and BM Music Performance (Honors) 2021) is graduating Summa Cum Laude as the 2021 Outstanding Physics Senior and Spring 2021 College of Science and Health Professions (COSHP) Valedictorian. She has done research with Dr. Heus on mixing in cumulus clouds, and on Arctic atmospheric boundary layers as part of an NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Theresa also earned a degree in clarinet performance and was active within the CSU chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS) as the chapter’s secretary and member of the CSU student delegation to the Physics Congress (PHYSCON) 2019 in Providence RI.

Theresa will continue her education as a Ph.D. student at the prestigious School of Meteorology of the University of Oklahoma where she will work with Dr. James Ruppert on the evolution of tropical storms and convection.
