The Department of Psychology’s Dr. Shereen Naser recently had an article accepted for publication in School Psychology titled "A Brief Report on the Promise of System 2 Cues for Impacting Teacher Decision Making in School Discipline Practices for Black Male Youth." The article explores the utility of a System 2 cue in slowing down teacher decision-making around student behavior as a way to reduce the impact of implicit racial bias on the decision-making process.
