Amanda MacNeil, a third-year doctoral student in the Adult Development and Aging Ph.D. program, recently had her paper, Understanding the Illness Experience of Veterans With Dementia: Key Areas to Consider and Their Relation to Depressive Symptom, distinguished as an Honorable Mention for the 2021 Dr. Jerome Kaplan Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Paper, because of its strong focus on a vulnerable minority population.
The Jerome Kaplan Award is presented by the Ohio Association of Gerontology and Education (OAGE) for best graduate student paper and honors Dr. Kaplan’s leadership in the field of gerontology at all levels.
