Undergraduate Math Majors and Minors

Math Major (B.S. & B.A.)

The Math Department offers the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in mathematics. The mathematics requirements for the two degrees are identical; the difference between them is the number of science credits that are required (Click on the title link for more information).

Mathematics Minor

A Minor in Mathematics Consists of 18 Credits in Mathematics. Click on the title for more information.

Statistics Minor

Students interested in a career or graduate school that requires a research component involving data analysis should consider earning a Statistics minor. The study of mathematics, psychology, sociology, biology, environmental science, health science, social science, among others, can be greatly enhanced by a minor in statistics.

Accelerated 4+1 Bachelors/Masters

Math Department also provides Accelerated 4 + 1 Program for the BA or BS and MS in Mathematics which takes 5 years to complete instead of 6 years of course work.
