CSU Freshman–Sophomore Mathematics Competition

The 13th Annual CSU Freshman-Sophomore Mathematics Competition will take place on 
Thursday, April 18, 2024, 6:00 – 7:45 pm in RT 1516

Register below by Wednesday, April 10, 2024 to receive a free box dinner.
Late registations accepted until Wednesday, April 17, 2024, 5 p.m. (no box dinner)

This competition is open to all regularly enrolled CSU undergraduate students who have completed at most one mathematics or statistics course numbered 300 or above. The background for the competition is basic algebra and geometry, very elementary number theory, and calculus; no upper-division coursework is necessary.

Cash prizes will be awarded!

  • First Prize: $250
  • Second Prize: $150
  • Third Prize: $100

Box lunches will be provided by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

Boxed Meals are prepared by Café Ah-Roma, and include chips, pickle, & a cookie. All sandwiches include lettuce, tomato & mayonnaise.
