Welcome to the Political Science (PSC) advising page, where you can learn about our faculty advisors, contact us to ask a question about your PSC and/or International Relations (IR) major, schedule a virtual or in-person meeting, and locate the most commonly used advising sheets to help you plan your degree completion.

Dr. Stack studies American politics. He can answer questions you may have about course selection for the PSC or IR majors. Dr. Stack is also happy to chat about post-graduate plans. Dr. Lewis specializes in international relations and European politics. He can help advise you on PSC and IR questions. You should contact him if you are pursuing one of our internship courses. Dr. Mobydeen specializes in public law/constitutional law and also earned her J.D. at the Cleveland State University College of Law. She can provide interested students with specialized pre-law and 3+3 PSC/LAW program advising and mentoring. Dr. Mobydeen's preferred method of contact for questions or inquiries is email. Virginia is the department secretary and can assist with answering general questions and entering course permissions into the system. Preferred contact method is by email, although you can also call and stop in the department office, Monday through Friday, from 7:40 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.  Usually, Virginia is out from 1 to 2 p.m. for lunch.

ADVISING ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE IN MULTIPLE WAYS

For specific questions about courses or scheduling related to your PSC/IR major or minor, you can email Dr. Stack or Dr. Lewis anytime. You can also reach us through Starfish or email to set up a specific appointment.

You should also seek general education advising at the College of Arts and Sciences advising center. Advisors in this area can help with general guidance on college requirements, transfer credits, the petition process, and other referrals to CSU support services. Consult the College of Arts and Sciences advising page for the center’s most up-to-date information on hours and scheduling options.
